One credit equals $25.

Most Surmado reports cost 1 to 2 credits. When you buy a report, you pay in dollars ($25, $50, or $100), and credits are the internal unit that powers refunds, automation, and API usage.

• Surmado Signal Essentials: 1 credit ($25)
• Surmado Scan Essentials: 1 credit ($25)
• Surmado Signal Pro: 2 credits ($50)

• Surmado Solutions: 2 credits ($50)

What you pay: Dollars. What we track: Credits. Why it matters: Credits enable instant automatic refunds and flexible bundle usage.

The $100 Bundle

The $100 bundle gives you 6 credits.

This is the best deal if you plan to run multiple reports:

• 6 credits = $150 worth of Essentials reports
• 6 credits = $150 worth of Pro reports (3 reports)
• Or any mix: 2 Signal Pro + 2 Scan Essentials + 1 Solutions = 6 credits total

Marketing framing: Get Scan Pro, Signal Pro, and Solutions for $100, plus 2 bonus credits (worth $50) for future reports.

Flexibility: Use your 6 credits on any product, any tier, any time. Credits never expire.

Automatic Refunds

If something fails on our side, we automatically return the credits. No ticket. No waiting.

How it works:

1. Report fails during processing (rare)
2. Credits immediately return to your account
3. You receive an email notification
4. Run the report again or use credits elsewhere

What we fix with compute, not apologies: If a report has an issue, we rerun it with more resources. You keep your credits until we deliver a working report.

Note: We do not use the phrase “store credit.” These are your credits in your Surmado account, usable on any report.

Auto-Refill

Optionally top up your credit balance when it falls below a threshold you set.

How auto-refill works:

• Set a minimum balance (example: 2 credits)
• When your balance drops below that threshold, we automatically charge your payment method
• You choose the refill amount (example: add 6 credits with $100 bundle)
• Cancel anytime from your account settings

Why use auto-refill: Repeat value without a subscription. Run reports whenever you need them without manual top-ups.

Example workflow: Agency sets minimum balance at 4 credits. Runs 3 Signal reports (6 credits used). Balance drops to 2 credits. Auto-refill triggers, adds 6 credits via $100 bundle. New balance: 8 credits.

For Developers and Agencies

API usage: Credits work identically via API and web UI. When you call /v1/reports/signal with "tier": "pro", we deduct 2 credits from your organization account.

White-label mode: Credits are deducted when the report is queued, not when it completes. White-label reports (with your agency branding) use the same credit system. No extra cost for white-labeling.

Webhook delivery: When reports complete, we send a webhook to your specified URL with download links. Credits are already deducted by this point. If the report failed, credits were automatically refunded before the webhook fires.

Bulk operations: Agencies running 50+ reports per month benefit from:

• Predictable $100 bundle pricing (6 credits)
• Auto-refill prevents manual intervention
• Single billing invoice for all client reports
• Credits pooled across your organization

Example agency math: 10 clients × 2 Signal Essentials per month = 20 credits = $500 vs. $400 with four $100 bundles = $100 saved

Frequently Asked Questions

Do credits expire? No. Credits never expire.

Can I share credits across team members? Yes. Credits are pooled at the organization level. Anyone with access to your organization can use credits.

What if I buy the wrong tier? Contact hi@surmado.com within 7 days for a full refund. Or use the credits on a different report.

Can I get a refund in cash instead of credits? Yes, within 7 days of purchase. After that, refunds are issued as credits to your account.

Does auto-refill lock me into a subscription? No. Auto-refill is a convenience feature. Cancel anytime. No commitment. No recurring fees except when your balance drops below your threshold.
